Service for Others: Lifting Up Spirits for Stroke Patients at Rehab Center

When a Mindful Littles family member contacted us looking for ways lift the spirits of recovering stroke patients at the Anaheim Healthcare Center in Anaheim, California, we knew our community would want to help.

The Anaheim Healthcare Center is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center that helps those being discharged from the hospital but still in need of care before they can return home to recover fully. During this time of crisis, patients are not able to receive many visitors and are coping with feelings of sadness and depression.

While many of us are struggling with the challenges of home quarantine, there are many people confined to elder centers without access to family right now.

Here’s what you and your littles can do now:

  • Until the quarantine lifts, please do not send written letters or drawings to patients at the rehab center. We will update you with information on how to send virtual mail soon. Instead…
  • Send puzzles, coloring books and other activities via Amazon to help patients stay busy rather than thinking too much about how they miss their loved ones. Remember to include a special message of love and hope!

Send Amazon packages to:

Thank you so much for helping those in need during this challenging time.
