“The Mindful Littles program on food insecurity is a phenomenal curriculum that supports critical thinking, reflection, and service learning while using grade level standards. The students have gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for the food they eat and are empowered to support others in the community.”
—4th Grade Teacher
Field Trips at a Local Nonprofit
Your school group will get real-world exposure to nonprofits in the community, through pre-coordinated Mindful Service Learning field trips at local organizations. Students will engage in learning about nonprofits, while taking part in hands-on, purposeful action at a food bank, farm, or local nonprofit. We take care of all the coordination and provide educator tips and resources to ensure elementary children can engage in meaningful Mindful Service Learning experiences with minimal effort.

The recent Mindful Service Learning experience provided our students with an opportunity to learn how our local/world community contributors make our food abundance a reality while also being mindful of those who do not share in this abundance. All of this contributes to our students’ understanding and appreciation.
