Mindful Littles recently brought a Teen Leadership Program to 11 students at Pine Hollow Middle School through the school’s Wellness Center.
Our trained teen leaders engaged in our Feel Good-Do Good model by learning mindfulness habits and then teaching these practices to over 400 younger peers at at a neighboring elementary school.
The Win-Win-Win result:
- Elementary school students gain exposure to these powerful self-regulation and compassion tools.
- Teen leaders build leadership and confidence and practice retention. Also known as the tutor effect — the students improved their own understanding of the practices by training others.
- The schools strengthen their communities through shared well-being learning and practices.
Check out our powerful Impact Story:
The more we did it, the more I felt comfortable, and it progressively influenced the kids around us as well. "
