Student Well-Being Impact Amplified Through Workplace Connections

Through our direct relationships with schools and community organizations, we have helped Simpson Strong-Tie support youth education programs for our local partners.

Since 2021 Mindful Littles has been an essential bridge between Simpson Strong-Tie and the community. With our current focus on supporting students experiencing food insecurity, Simpson Strong-Tie provides beautiful planter boxes and benches for local school gardens. Additionally, our facilitated corporate events have engaged hundreds of employees in creating more than 1000 care kits to support youth well-being. What’s more, our feel-good, do-good programs have strengthened employee connectedness and camaraderie through fun team building projects.

Our collaboration with Simpson Strong-Tie began when then-employee Desiree Aquino noticed a flier on a Starbucks community board for a Mindful Littles fundraiser. She was deeply moved by the Mindful Littles mission and decided to attend our event. After her experience, Desiree connected us to her workplace, Simpson Strong-Tie, her co-workers, and their culture of giving back. Desiree is now a Mindful Littles advisor and Simpson Strong-Tie has been one of our most enthusiastic corporate partners.
