Heartfelt Holiday Cards for Youth Coping With Chronic Illness

Making Heartfelt Holiday Cards for children coping with chronic illness and their families is an easy, creative way to engage in mindful service at home, work, or school.

Mindful Littles will collect the cards and deliver them to youth hospice care centers, enrichment service providers, children’s hospitals, and other organizations.

Materials

  • Printer
  • 8.5 x 11 cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Colorful markers, crayons, pencils, or paints of your choice to decorate your cards. You can also use stickers or any other material for decoration.
  • Envelopes for each card you made (optional).
  • Envelope for mailing your cards to us.

Instructions

  1. Download our card templates and print on 8.5 x 11 cardstock. Each template has two cards.
  2. Cut each sheet in half horizontally and then fold horizontally, with message on top.
  3. Decorate with markers, stickers, glitter, gems, or even pipe cleaners! The more colorful and fun, the better. Get creative with your decorations. Children and families receiving these messages may choose to keep the note as a keepsake!
  4. Leave the inside blank so it can be personalized for the recipient.
  5. If possible, please include envelopes, as these cards will be mailed out. Pre-stamped envelopes with “forever stamps” are even more appreciated! Your Holiday Cards may be paired with gift cards so please ensure your card/envelope is at least 4.25 x 5.5, like this example.
Mail completed cards by 12/10/23 to:
