Caden attended our first Haiti event, where we put together personalized hygiene kits for children in a school in Hinche, Haiti. Caden was extremely engaged during our event with thoughtful wishes to send to the kids we were helping. Since attending our event, Caden has taken the initiative to continue helping the Haiti children he learned about that day.

His mom, Kim, says “The event had quite an impact on my 7-year-old who, after assembling hygiene kits at your Mindful Littles event, decided to raise money for the kids in Haiti on his own.”

First, Caden wrote and photo copied a letter about his project, which he sold to friends and family for $1 each, raising about $43 dollars. Then, he held a bake sale over the holidays and raised another $100. Caden and his sister made signs letting people know that the proceeds were going to the Center of Hope – Haiti and took a lot of pride in selling their baked goods and collecting money, says his mom.

“I think what you are doing through the Mindful Littles program is wonderful, and it’s obviously having an impact on children near and far. I look forward to attending another one soon!”
